New Vans MOMA Lyubov Popova SK8-Hi UNISEX Canvas Print Sneakers

Vans latest collaboration sees them team up with MoMA, celebrating the Museum's collection with designs by some of their featured artists: Salvador Dalí, Vasily Kandinsky and Claude Monet.
 
The SK8-Hi shoes were the first to bring the supportive sensibilities of an athletic boot to the world of skating, sitting on top of an iconic waffle tread pattern outsole perfect for traction on and off the board. Finishing off is a padded collar which offers protection and stability and a Vans Off The Wall rubber patch at the back of the heel in a bright pop of red. Popova approached painting as an act of construction using color, line and shape to create dimensional work that expressed movement and dynamism.
For the Vans MoMA collaboration, Popova's 'Untitled, 1917' has been applied to the Vans Sk8-Hi using each medial and lateral side to translate her avant-garde vision across the hi-top mode.
